Wim Deblauwe

Managing Director*

Wim Deblauwe started out in 1997, working in retail and private banking at ING and Nagelmackers. Five years later he moved into industry. Between 2002 and 2010, Wim held a variety of senior management roles at Xeikon and Punch International, eventually taking over as CEO of the latter. He then worked for Betafence for 5 years including three years as Vice President Northern Europe and serving on the Executive Committee. Wim graduated in law from KU Leuven (Belgium) and is a certified financial analyst (ICHEC Brussels Management School).

Johan Verhelst

Director*

Johan Verhelst began his professional career in 1992, working for the Verhelst Group, a family business involved in construction contracting, equipment hire, precast concrete elements, recycling, etc. He was appointed CEO in 1993. Since then, the Group has seen considerable growth, increasing its consolidated turnover from EUR 73m in 1993 to EUR 184m in 2014. Johan has a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp (UFSIA).

Peter Caset

Director*

After studying civil engineering at KU Leuven (Belgium), Peter Caset worked as a project engineer at Herbosch-Kiere. In 2003 he acquired Soetaert NV and became CEO. Under his leadership, the company grew, with turnover rising from EUR 7m in 2003 to EUR 45m in 2014. Soetaert NV was sold to Jan Denul in 2015.

Peter Tytgadt

Director*

Armed with qualifications in accounting, Peter began his career as an auditor and went on to hold various senior financial positions at Kinepolis (2001-2005), Punch International (2005-2007) and Xeikon (2007-2010), first as Controller and later as CFO. He has been CFO of the Turbo’s Hoet Group (50% Ackermans & van Haaren – 50% Hoet family) since 2010.

Carlo Vermeersch

Director*

Carlo Vermeersch started his career at Optima Bank and BBL. In 1999 he joined the familybusiness Waeyaert-Vermeersch which he developed together with his brother Nico into a solid SME with a turnover of EUR 60m. The capital was opened up in 2010 and through various acquisitions the company has grown since into an insulation giant with a turnover of EUR 400m and 1100 employees. Carlo holds a degree in economics from EHSAL and a postgraduate degree in finance from KU Leuven.

Koen Brutsaert

Director*

Koen established CID Lines in 1988 and it grew to become a world leader in hygienic disinfectants, operating in 96 countries and with a turnover in excess of EUR 100m. Part of the business was then sold to Gilde Private Equity and later to IK Investment Partners. The whole company was sold to Ecolab in 2020. After a successful career as an executive director, Koen has now joined Robur Capital’s management team.
